VLADIMIR CHERNOV - Iberkonzert, Artist Management and Concerts Production
After debuting in St. Petersburg, Vladimir Chernov enjoyed success after success in the world’s most prestigious opera houses including the San Francisco Opera, the Theatre de La Monnaie in Brussels, the Lyric Opera in Chicago, Vienna Staats Oper, Teatro alla Scala, the Opera Bastille de Paris, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires.

Recent performances include the Ernani in Naples, Eugene Onegin at the Opera de Nice and Miami, Robert in Iolanta at the Baltimore Opera Company and Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor in Tenerife, Renato in Un Ballo in Maschera and a concert version of Rigoletto in Munich, Luisa Miller at the Dutsche Oper Berlin, Roberto Devereux at the Hamburgische Staatsoper, Sir Richard Forth in I Puritani in Catania, Attila at the Musikverein in Vienna, Stankar in Stifelio in La Plata, Prince Yeletsky in Pique Dame at the Music Center in Los Angeles and Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Baltimore Opera as well as the Chamber Opera of Thessaloniki.
Mr. Chernov has also recently made his debut in the role of Barone di Valdebrgo in La Straniera at the Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania.

Mr. Chernov’s 2002-03 season includes Eugene Onegin at the Opera Bastille, the Seattle Opera and Australian Opera, Barbiere with Los Angeles Opera, and Pique Dame with Opera National de Lyon in addition to gala concerts in Los Angeles, Berlin and Munich. 2003-04 season include Pique Dame for Dallas Opera, Traviata in West Palm Beach, Pique Dame at the Met, Zandonai’s Giulietta e Romeo in Munich, I Vespri Siciliani at the Megaron in Athens, Ford in Falstaff at the National Theater in Tokyo and solo recitals in St Petersburg, Moscow and Samara.

Performances from previous seasons include a new production of La Traviata directed by Zeffirelli (1998) at the Metropolitan Opera, Eugene Onegin under the baton of Valerij Gergiev at the Metropolitan Opera, Miller in Luisa Miller under the baton of James Levine at the Metropolitan Opera as well as in Rome, a concert version of Roberto Devereux in New York City, Beatrice di Tenda at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Giovanna d’Arco, I due Foscari and Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Posa in Don Carlo with Los Angeles Opera, Carlo in La Forza del Destino in Glasgow, Ford in Falstaff under the baton of Georg Solti at the Salzburg Festival and again with the Wiener Staatsoper conducted by Seiji Ozawa. Also with Mo. Ozawa, he portrayed Prince Yeletsky in Pique Dame in a live global broadcast and the Rückert Lieder at the Sidney Concert Hall.

Other engagements include Don Carlo in Ernani at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, L’Arlesiana in Munich with the Bayerische Rundfunkorchester, Il Trovatore at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden as well as having been invited by Claudio Abbado to sing the title role in Simon Boccanegra at the Ferrara Music Festival in Parma and Bolzano, Italy and with the Berlin Philharmonic conducted by Claudio Abbado.

In addition to his vast operatic repertoire, Mr. Chernov maintains an active schedule of recitals in the most important concert halls including the Wigmore in London and Lincoln Center in New York as well as gala concerts with Placido Domingo, Mirella Freni, Alfredo Kraus and Luciano Pavarotti.

His discography includes Il Trovatore and Luisa Miller, with James Levine, and Don Carlo for Sony Classical, Rigoletto for Deutsche Grammophon, Un Ballo in Maschera for Teldec, Pique Dame, with Gergiev, for Philips as well as a video recording of Simon Boccanegra and Stiffelio for Deutsche Grammophon as well as Rachmaninov’s Francesca da Rimini, The Bells and The Miserly Knight and Gordon Getti’s Joan and the Bells.
