ALFONSO ECHEVERRÍA - Iberkonzert, Artist Management and Concerts Production
Born in San Sebastian, has a degree in Law from the Complutense University in Madrid. He studied singing in Madrid and Vienna, where he sang regularly from 1979 to 1982 in the Staatsoper, with conductors as Leonard Bernstein, Karl Böhm, Julius Rudel, Horst Stein and Hebert Von Karajan.

Has sung, among others, the following roles: Sir Giorgio (“I Puritani”), Raimondo (“Lucia di Lammermoor”), Walter (“Guglielmo Tell”), Haly (“L’Italiana in Algeri”), Boldassare (“La Favorita”), Orbazzano (“Tancredi”), the Gobernator (“Le Comte Ory”), Padre Guardiano and Fra Melitone (“La Forza del Destino), Ramfis (“Aida”), Mefistóteles (“La Damnation de Faust”), Sparafucile (“Rigoletto”), Alidoro (“La Cenerentola”), Colline (“La Bohème”), Leporello (“Don Giovanni”), Don Alfonso (“Cosí fan tutte”) in Milan with Stage Director Giorgio Strehler and Don Quijote (“El Retablo de Maese Pedro”) in the Teatro alla Scala with Teresa Berganza, as well as many oratorios.

His latest performances have been: “Samson et Dalila” in Bilbao, “Il Trovatore” in Santander, “La Vida Breve” in Teatro Sao Carlos (Lisboa) with stage direction by Wernicke, in Carneggie Hall with Dutoit and Montreal Symphony, “Madame Butterfly” in the Teatro Real (Madrid), world premiere of “El viaje circular de Tomás Marco”, “Zigor” (composed by Escudero) and “Alcina” (Händel) in Bilbao. Recording of “La Vida Breve” (Tío Savaor) with Maximiano Valdés in Oviedo, “Doña Francisquita” with Maestro Encinar and stage direction by Emilio Sagi, “Ballo in Maschera” in the San Sebastian Musical Festival, conducted by López Cobos (2004), Cosí fan tutte (Don Alfonso), staged by Strehler and conducted by Arnold Bosman in Rome (2004) and in Art Theatre Antón Chejov in Moscow (2005) and Madame Butterfly in the San Sebastian Music Festival.

Recently he has performed“Doña Francisquita” in Saint Gallen (Switzerland) and in Jerez de la Frontera, “Madama Butterfly” in the Teatro Real (Madrid) and “The Magic Flute” in ABAO (Bilbao).
