Italian conductor Marco Boemi studied pianoforte at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory and jurisprudence at the Università La Sapienza in Rome where he graduated as a doctor of laws.
In 1990, he made his debut at the ROVERETO FESTIVAL with the Virtuosi di Santa Cecilia, which was recorded both on cd and on television. His opera debut followed shortly after this with La Traviata and Rigoletto with Renato Bruson at the STERISTERIO DI MACCERATA Festival.
In 1992, Boemi received his first invitation to the SUNTORY HALL TOKYO, in Japan. Ever since then, Boemi has been closely cooperating with the Hall: Carmen with Elena Zarimba in the title role and Neil Shicoff, LElisir dAmore with Giuseppe Sabbatini and Eva Mei and several Gala concerts with the TOKYO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA with Renato Bruson, Giuseppe Sabbatini, Vincenzo la Scola and Daniela Dessì are just some of the productions with tv- and cd-recording the conductor has made.

His highlights of the past two years include a concert with the PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA in London, two concerts with Daniela Dessì and Fabio Armiliato during the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL in BRESCIA and BERGAMO, a gala commemorating the millennium of the city of KAZAN in presence of president Vladimir Putin together with all presidents of the former Soviet republics, a concert in the RONACHER as well as the BRAHMS SAAL of the MUSIKVEREIN in VIENNA with Stefania Bonfadelli and Giuseppe Sabbatini. During the SCHALJAPIN FESTIVAL, Marco Boemi led the new production of Lucia di Lammermoor as well as shortly ago performances of Aida and Nabucco. He conducted Pavarotti and friends 1998 (Gala with Luciano Pavarotti, Celine Dion, Spice Girls, Natallie Cole, Stevie Wonder, Jon Bon Jovi ) with TV broadcast und CD production for the DECCA in MODENA, Turandot in ST. MARGARETHEN, Otello in BRAUNSCHWEIG, Romeo et Juliette with Giuseppe Sabbatini and Stefania Bonfadelli in the TOKYO SUNTORY HALL, a Mario Lanza gala with Vincenzo La Scola in the TEATRO MASSIMO DI PALERMO, a Bellini gala in PARIS, concerts with the ORCHESTRA GIOVANILE DELLA SCALA, the opening night of the SPONTINI FESTIVAL with Gérard Depardieu and Giuseppe Sabbatini as well as the first performance outside Great Britain of Andrew Lloyd Webbers Requiem.
In May 2006, Marco Boemi will conduct Falstaff with Renato Bruson in TOKYO where he will also lead the gala concert on the occasion of Brusons 70th birthday. In July 2006, he will conduct a concert with Vincenzo La Scola in BERLIN and will return to KAZAN in August for a Don Giovanni production with the winners of the UNESCO contest. He will lead this production also in September 2006 during a TOUR THROUGH THE NETHERLANDS. In the same month, Boemi will in addition conduct a gala in SPOLETO with Giuseppe Sabbatini, Norma Fantini, Leo Nucci and other former winners of the Spoleto contest as well as La Traviata in BUDAPEST with Andrea Rost and Giuseppe Sabbatini. Moreover, Marco Boemi will give a concert tour in Japan together with Giuseppe Sabbatini in October 2006 (CD recording).
