EMILIA BOTEVA - Iberkonzert, Artist Management and Concerts Production

Emiliya Boteva studied at the Bulgarian Academy of Music in Sofia in the speciality of opera singer mezzo-soprano. Her debut was in 1983 as Pippo in “La Gazza Ladra”.
In 1983 she was an award winner at the Svetoslav Obretenov National Competition, Bulgaria, and a finalist of the Toulous international Vocal Competition, France in 1986.

In 1999-2000 she has had engagements include Das Rheingold and Rigoletto in Bilbao, (Spain). In this season she has also enjoyed success as Amneris–Aida in Opera Ontario, Hamilton.
Emiliya Boteva has a diverse repertoire in cantata and oratorio music, including Verdi’s and Mozart’s Requiems; Pergolesi and Rossini’s Stabat Mater; voice-symphonic cycles by de Falla, Mahler, Elgar. Her schedule has been filled with a wide variety of concert appearances .In 2002 she has had a concert tour in Spain with Respighi’s Il Tramonto and Manuel De Falla’s El Amor Brujo.

She begins her 2002-2003 season with Le Nozze Di Figaro in Bilbao and Rigoletto and Die Zauberflote in Las Palmas.
In 2002 she returned in Bilbao with Gottedemmerung as Welgunde and was in Malta for Un Ballo In Mashera as Ulrica. also in Malta she has the chance to sing Verdi’s Requiem with Giuseppe Giacomini.
Additional credits include appearances in Switzerland in 2003 with Sofia National Opera as Azucena–Il Trovatore and as Marcelina- Le Nozze di Figaro in 2003.

Last seasons she appeared in the famous concert Pop Opera in Opera Ontario and Kitchener–Waterloo. Later she returned to Las Palmas, (Spain) for Carmen, as Mercedec and in Porto and Lisbon, (Portugal) where she sang Amneris –Aida, and she was also soloist for the Mississuga Symphony and the special Last Night of the Promms’s eve concert.
Emiliya Boteva has toured Europe as a recitalist and also has been heard in the Lithuanian National Opera (Eboli and Ulrica), in Salonica, Greece (Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky), in Lodz, Poland (Madama Butterfly-Suzuki), in Lisbon, Teatro Coliseum ( Azucena, Il Trovatore) and in other countries as Holland, Germany and France among others.

She has collaborated with such leading conductors as Gunter Neuhold, Rizzi Brignoli, Daniel Lipton and also enjoyed to sing with such famous stars like Marcelo Alvarez, Jean Filipp Lafont, Gena Dimitrova, Anna Tomova-Sintov, Jose Bross, Nikola Giuselev, Robert Hale.

In 2005 Ms. Boteva sang Suzuki in Madama Butterfly in Las Palmas and Teresa in La Sonnambula in Bilbao, Spain and Un Ballo in Mashera in Bari, Italy and concerts in Montreal and Quebec, Canada.
In 2006-2007 season we can highlight her performing of Madame Larina ( Eugene Onegin) in Jerez (Spain), Mazepa in Toronto Opera and Romeo (Capuletti e Montecchi) in Toronto Off Centre Music Salon.

Her next engagements include "Thaïs" and "Andrea Chénier" at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Opera Festival, "Falstaff" (Mrs. Quickly)in Jerez, "Der Fliegende Holländer" (Mary) at the Edmonton Opera, "Il Trovatore" (Azucena) in Manitova and "Eugene Onegin" (Filipevna) in Ottawa.
