Natascha Petrinsky’s compelling stage presence and musical intelligence have taken her to most of Europe’s leading theatres and concert halls such as La Scala Milano, Covent Garden London, the German State Opera Berlin, Teatro Real Madrid, the Bayreuth Festival, La Monnaie Brussels, Maggio Musicale, Amsterdam Opera, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Royal Albert Hall, singing many of the greatest works of the 19th and 20th century repertoire.

Ms Petrinsky was born in Vienna. After graduating as a lawyer in Germany she moved to Israel where she studied at the Tel Aviv University with Tamar Rachum. Subsequently, she made her debut as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with Gary Bertini and Graham Vick at the New Israeli Opera.

Her opera repertoire includes amongst other the title role of Carmen (Finnish National Opera Helsinki), Venus in Tannhäuser (La Monnaie Brussels with Kazushi Ono + Teatro dell’Opera di Roma + Opéra National de la Lorraine Nancy), Brangäne in Tristan und Isolde (Opera National de Bordeaux in San Sebastian), Waltraute in Götterdämmerung (La Fenice Venice), Amneris in Aida (Oper Leipzig), Azucena in Trovatore as well as Marie Wozzeck in Germany, Maddalena in Rigoletto (Opera National de Bordeaux), Medea in Cavalli’s Giasone (Spoleto, USA), the title role of Lucretia (Opéra de Lausanne), Baba the Turk in The Rake’s Progress (La Scala + Théâtre des Champs Elysées + Opéra National de Bordeaux + Opéra de Lausanne), Jocaste in Oedipus Rex (Edinburgh International Festival + Opera North), Judith in Bartók's A Kékszakállú herceg vára (De Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam + Opéra National de la Lorraine Nancy + RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra Dublin), Varvara in Kát'a Kabanová (De Nederlandse Opera + Teatro Real Madrid with Robert Carsen), Mčre Marie in Les Dialogues des Carmelites (Ópera Bilbao), Queen Clementine in Offenbach's Bluebeard (Bregenzer Festspiele), Miranda in Thomas Ades' The Tempest (Opéra National du Rhin, Strasbourg), the Fox in The Cunning Little Vixen for De Nederlandse Opera and Clementia in Hindemith’s Sancta Susana (La Scala).

In Ms Petrinsky’s concert repertoire one finds oeuvres as Mahler's 2nd (Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra) and 3rd Symphony (Israeli Philharmonic under Giuseppe Sinopoli + Bergen Philharmonic under Andrew Litton + Netherlands Philharmonic under Hartmut Haenchen), Das Lied von der Erde (Covent Garden), Des Knaben Wunderhorn (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra under Riccardo Chailly + BBC Scottish Symphony under Ilan Volkov), Bruckner's Te Deum (London Symphony Orchestra under Michael Tilson Thomas), Beethoven's 9th Symphony (Rai Orchestra Turin + NHK Orchestra with Kazushi Ono) and Missa solemnis (Sancta Cecilia Roma with Giuseppe Sinopoli), Mendelssohn's Elias (Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Dresden), Verdi's Requiem (Bamberger Symphoniker with Giuseppe Sinopoli), Berlioz' La Mort de Cleopatre (Spain) and Elgar's Sea Pictures (Spain).
Apart from the above already mentioned does she also work with such well known conductors as James Conlon, Christoph Eschenbach, Donald Runnicles, Riccardo Muti, Jeffrey Tate, Michael Boder, Roberto Abbado, Hans Graf, Ingo Metzmacher, Marko Letonja, to name a few.

The artist started the 2007/08 season creating the title role of Phaedra (Henze) at the German State Opera Berlin and La Monnaie Brussels, followed by another world premiere at the same theatre: Hannah in Pierre Bartolomé’s La Lumičre Antigone. After singing the role of Varvara in Kát'á Kabanová at De Nederlandse Opera (Jacob Kreizberg/Willy Decker) she performed again the title role of Phaedra, this time at Maggio Musicale 2008 (with Roberto Abbado) and at the Alte Oper Frankfurt (with Michael Boder).
