La soprano Milagros Poblador, en el rol de Violetta Valery, encabeza el reparto de la ópera "La Traviata" de Verdi, que se estrena en el Nuevo Teatro Alcalá hasta el 15 de mayo.

Se estrena una versión renovada y adaptada al siglo XXI, cuya dirección musical y artística corre a cargo de José Antonio Irastorza y Oscar Cabañas respectivamente.

Freed from the necessity to create any sort of characterization by the constant bonbardmentof the visuals, she concentrated instead on hitting all the notes. In Act 1. "Der Hoelle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen" is a coloratura masterpiece, but a singer’s nightmare. Ms Poblador hit all of the high notes, incluiding the infamous tour top F’s squarely. Take it from a long time “Magic Flute” fanatic – very few women ever do.
